Paul Sierzenski, MD, RDMS
President
Paul Sierzenski, MD, RDMS, is the president of Emergency Ultrasound Consultants, LLC. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM). Following a residency in emergency medicine, Dr. Sierzenski completed a fellowship in emergency medicine ultrasound at Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Illinois; the only emergency medicine ultrasound program at that time. During his training he focused on design, implementation and the development of ultrasound programs. He is certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) and has authored numerous articles and text chapters on emergency ultrasound.
Dr. Sierzenski is the 2005-2006 chair for the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) Ultrasound Interest Group. He is the former chair of the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Interest Group. He is believed to be one of the most energetic forces in emergency ultrasound today.
Dr. Sierzenski has consulted for academic and private emergency practices, as well as surgical and primary care physicians. He has advised members of the Residency Review Committee for Emergency Medicine (RRC-EM) and Members of the Council of Emergency Residency Directors (CORD) on ultrasound issues.
Currently he is the director of emergency medicine ultrasonography at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Delaware, where he directs the training over 70 emergency medicine and surgical residents with over 30 faculty between the two specialties.
